As Programs Director for Fellowships & Educational Programs for the CRCD, Barr is responsible for handling event and program logistics. Among her many tasks, she coordinates the application process as well as communication with guest speakers. She also manages the travel, lodging, and hospitality aspects of our off-site programs. Barr serves as administrative support to the full CRCD staff.
Barr began her career with Atrium Hospitality where she supported the executive team, researching and preparing documentation for presentations and other communications. She then took on the role of Event Sales Manager for Atrium, developing new business opportunities for the hotel and contracting with new clients. Prior to joining the CRCD, Barr was a legal assistant with First Liberty Institute, supporting the entire litigation cycle for a busy practice group.
The Center for Religion, Culture, and Democracy envisions democratic societies which affirm the essential role of religious convictions, peoples, and institutions in cultivating free and flourishing communities.
To achieve our vision, the CRCD supports the creation and promotion of high quality scholarship at the intersection of religion, culture, and democracy. Our publications, programming, and resources affirm the importance of religion as a public good for strengthening social bonds and reinforcing foundational freedoms.
