Andrew M. McGinnis, Ph.D.

Assistant Director of Research

Andrew (Drew) M. McGinnis is Assistant Director of Research at the CRCD and managing editor of the Journal of Religion, Culture & Democracy.

McGinnis’s academic interests include the history Protestant moral thought, American church history, and systematic theology, and he also serves as a research fellow at the Junius Institute for Digital Reformation Research. He is author of The Son of God Beyond the Flesh: A Historical and Theological Study of the Extra Calvinisticum; editor of The Mosaic Polity, by Franciscus Junius; and coeditor of On the Church, by Abraham Kuyper. He is also co–general editor of the Sources in Early Modern Economics, Ethics, and Law (Second Series).

McGinnis earned his undergraduate degree at Truman State University. He holds an M.Div. from Covenant Theological Seminary and a Ph.D. from Calvin Theological Seminary.
