Gerald McDermott, Ph.D.
Senior Fellow
Gerald McDermott is a senior fellow at the CRCD and former Anglican Chair at Beeson Divinity School. He writes and speaks extensively in the areas of race, Christian history and doctrine, world religions, Anglican studies, Israel, and Jonathan Edwards. He is the author and editor of more than twenty books, including The Theology of Jonathan Edwards (with Michael McClymond), winner of Christianity Today’s 2013 award for Top Book in Theology/Ethics.
Prior to his role at Beeson, McDermott was the Jordan-Trexler Professor of Religion at Roanoke College. An Anglican priest, he is teaching pastor at Christ the King Anglican Church in Hoover, Alabama.
