SENIOR FELLOW

Gerald R. McDermott is a senior fellow at the Center for Religion, Culture & Democracy. He teaches at Jerusalem Seminary and Reformed Episcopal Seminary (ACNA) and writes and speaks extensively in the areas of race, Christian history and doctrine, world religions, Anglican studies, Israel, and Jonathan Edwards. He is the author and editor of more than twenty-five books, including A New History of Redemption: The Work of Jesus the Messiah through the Millennia and The Theology of Jonathan Edwards (with Michael McClymond), winner of Christianity Today’s 2013 award for Top Book in Theology/Ethics. McDermott previously was Anglican Chair of Divinity at Beeson Divinity School and Jordan-Trexler Professor of Religion at Roanoke College.
